February 2026 – Richard S. Ernst, Esq.

Richard S. Ernst is a graduate of Albany Law School who began his career in 1982 as an Assistant District Attorney in Albany County and later served more than two decades with the New York State Attorney General’s Criminal Prosecutions Bureau, rising to Deputy Bureau Chief and receiving the Louis Lefkowitz Memorial Award for outstanding public service. He went on to serve as Deputy Commissioner for Criminal Enforcement at the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance and later as Vice President for Compliance at a financial services company. Since 2023, Mr. Ernst has devoted his time to volunteering with legal service organizations, assisting clients in eviction, tax, divorce, guardianship, and capacity-related matters.
