October 7, 2026Leif I. Rubinstein, Esq. received his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 1979 and is admitted to practice in New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Military Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. After maintaining a private practice specializing in foreclosure and bankruptcy law for over 30 years, he joined Touro Law Center in 2010. Through the Touro Law Bankruptcy Clinic, Professor Rubinstein has provided pro bono representation to low-income clients while mentoring future attorneys on the importance of access to justice. He also serves on the Board of Managers of the Suffolk County Bar Pro Bono Foundation and has received numerous recognitions for his dedication to pro bono service. A longtime Suffolk County resident, Professor Rubinstein has been married for 51 years and has three adult children.
