November 20, 2025Vincent Cuocci was proudly born and raised on Long Island. He is a graduate of Smithtown High School West, and then the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he double majored in anthropology and psychology. He attended law school at Touro Law School and upon graduation and passing the Bar moved to Vermont to become a prosecutor. Shortly thereafter he married his wife, Joan, and they moved back to Long Island where he pursued a career working in the bankruptcy field. Over his twenty-eight year legal career Mr. Cuocci has continued to expand his practice areas and since 2008 has maintained a full-service general law practice located in Bayport, New York. He handles all types of civil matters in state and federal courts throughout Suffolk, Nassau and New York City, and utilizes all available technology to meet with clients virtually when appropriate to help those that are not geographically close to his office or unable to travel.
A significant focus of his firm continues to be on bankruptcy, foreclosure, and debt matters. He believes he is well suited for helping in the bankruptcy field as at various times during his career has represented debtors, creditors and bankruptcy trustees. His extensive experience in handling bankruptcy cases from all sides throughout the years has given him a unique perspective and the experience needed to help resolve even complicated financial matters through the bankruptcy process.
Mr. Cuocci has volunteered many hours for the Suffolk Pro Bono Project Bankruptcy Clinic. The pro-bono work Mr. Cuocci has performed on behalf of the clinic is primarily related to bankruptcy and debt relief. He finds the pro-bono experience personally rewarding and his work has deeply impacted many clients who needed a helping hand to reaching financial stability for themselves and their families.
Congratulations to Vincent Cuocci for being honored as the Pro Bono Attorney of the month by the Suffolk County Bar Association. We are grateful for your volunteer service.
