Lifeline is a federal program that helps people with low income access phone or internet services for eligible subscribers.
You may qualify for the Lifeline program if you have a qualifying household income or participate in any of the following programs:
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA), or Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit.
What is the process?
Step 1: The Lifeline Program will determine customer’s eligibility through the National Verifier. Eligibility can be determined in the following ways: Income-Based Eligibility and Program-Based Eligibility
Step 2: Once you’ve received a notice that you are qualified, sign up with a participating phone/internet company in your area.
