August 2026 – William M. Gearty, Esq.

Mr. William M. Gearty has dedicated his career to public service, private practice, and pro bono advocacy. Throughout his distinguished legal career, he has represented clients in state, federal, maritime, and military courts, while also serving in the Carter White House and with the U.S. Coast Guard. A longtime champion of equal access to justice, Mr. Gearty has provided pro bono legal assistance to hundreds of low-income individuals, mentored future attorneys through New York State’s High School Mock Trial Tournament, and continues to represent pro bono bankruptcy clients through Legal Services of Long Island, helping individuals and families overcome financial hardship and secure a fresh start.
