October 7, 2026Margaret Trainor earned a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Stony Brook University before beginning her career as a field archaeologist. She later transitioned into criminal justice and spent 25 years serving vulnerable communities through roles with the American Red Cross, Brighter Tomorrows Domestic Violence Shelter, and the New York State Supreme Court in Suffolk County. After earning both a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and a Juris Doctor from Touro Law School, she practiced family and children’s law with the Suffolk County Legal Aid Society before opening her own firm, Margaret Trainor, Esq. P.C. Though she stepped back from formal practice in 2025, she continues to support individuals navigating the legal system through volunteer advocacy work.
