Who We Are

We are attorneys, paralegals, social workers, and support staff.

We are committed to helping people in need vindicate their rights under the law. We provide free legal services in thousands of civil cases each year as well as legal support to community advocates to ensure that people with low incomes and disabilities have equal access to the civil justice system on Long Island.

Nassau Suffolk Law Services was among the first  Legal Services Corporation programs in the state and is currently one of the largest providers of free civil legal assistance in New York.

POSTPONEMENT OF THE COMMITMENT TO JUSTICE RECEPTION! NEW DATE: May 11, 2022

NSLS has decided to postpone our Fall Commitment to Justice Reception to May 11, 2022,  due to the rise in COVID cases and the Delta variant spike.  This decision was made out of our serious concern for the safety all our supporters, staff, board members, council members and honorees.
