August 15, 2020Nassau Suffolk Law Services is pleased to announce the following promotions and appointments to its Advisory Council: Jeffrey M. Kimmel, Esq. ascended to Chair of Nassau Suffolk Law Services’ Advisory Council. Gina Pirozzi moved into the position of Vice-Chair and Jackie Burbridge, Susan E. Ganz and Carol A. Gordon joined the Advisory Council.
Kimmel is the managing partner at Salenger, Sack, Kimmel & Bavaro, LLP. Kimmel has navigated the firm’s rapid growth to one of the leading and most progressive personal injury law firms in New York. New York Law Journal recognized Kimmel in its 2019 inaugural list of “Trailblazing” attorneys, identifying him as a business leader and true agent of change in the legal field. Kimmel has served on the Advisory Council’s Governor Affairs Committee working as a fearless legislative advocate supporting and promoting NSLS’s mission to do “What’s Legally Possible to Create a Just World.”
Pirozzi is a pioneer in the field of legal marketing. She has been at the helm of G. Pirozzi Consulting since 1992. In that capacity, she has represented a diverse group of professionals at some of New York’s most accomplished law firms, trade associations and not-for-profits. Pirozzi has served on the Advisory Council’s Events Committee and passionately assists Nassau Suffolk Law Services with all aspects of the Commitment to Justice Reception, the non-profit’s law firm’s annual fundraiser.
Burbridge is a consultant for nonprofits, most recently serving as the consulting manager for The Coltrane Home in Dix Hills leading the effort to transform the former home of the visionary African American musician into a museum and cultural arts center.
Ganz has 25 years of experience in strategic financial management and project management. Her expertise is supporting C-level executives in developing and executing their key strategic initiatives, such as growth and change management, with bottom line impact. Ganz leads Ganz Strategic Solutions and is the host of the web show, R.E.S.T. (Resiliency & Empowerment Seminar Today). She is also committed to diversity and inclusion and has spearheaded initiatives to advance women and underrepresented people in the workplace.
Gordon is the Founder, CEO and curator of Unspoken History Treasures, a private collection of over 335 years of African American artifacts. Ms. Gordon teaches African American history using actual museum quality artifacts. She also conducts tours of African American historical sites on Long Island. Ms. Gordon is devoted to civic advocacy and currently serves as a leader of many Long Island civic, social justice, and educational organizations.
